About this tour
This session walks the Nussberg vineyards above Vienna before ending at a family Heuriger that has poured wine since 1924. You see the Gemischter Satz grapes in the rows, the stream path linked to Beethoven and the buffet counter inside the Heuriger itself. It closes in the courtyard as the evening trade builds.
The guide checks sound among the vines, then walks down through the vineyard, along the stream and into the Heuriger, explaining each stage as it comes into view. You can ask about the wine, the buffet or Beethoven's connection to Nussdorf throughout. A short list of what is on the buffet is sent on afterwards.
This suits anyone curious about a Heuriger evening before finding one themselves, or wine drinkers interested in how a field blend like Gemischter Satz is grown. It also suits former visitors to Vienna who never made it out to Nussdorf.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 10 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Vienna before heading out.
-
Nussberg vineyards 21 min
The camera climbs between rows of vines on the Nussberg with Vienna spread out below. The guide explains Gemischter Satz, the Vienna field blend, where several grape varieties are planted and picked together in the same row.
-
Beethoven's walking path 21 min
Following a stream below the vineyards, the camera passes the path Beethoven is said to have walked while composing. The guide explains why this quiet stretch of Nussdorf attracted him out of the city centre.
-
A family Heuriger 21 min
Inside a Heuriger that has run since 1924, the camera moves along a buffet counter loaded with Liptauer spread, Blunzn blood sausage and roast pork. The guide explains how a Heuriger buffet works and what marks it as a genuine one.
-
The Heuriger courtyard 21 min
In the courtyard outside, the camera shows tables filling as the evening goes on. The guide explains the pine branch hung over the door, the old sign that tells you a Heuriger is open for the season.
-
Your questions 18 min
Time to ask anything about Vienna: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 8 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Tafelspitz and Neubau, worth a slower look.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
