POLIN and the streets of the former ghetto
Highlights
- A museum built on the former ghetto site
- A surviving fragment of the ghetto wall
- A memorial mound over a wartime bunker
- Modern housing over a hidden history
- Warsaw's Jewish history, carefully told
About this tour
This session follows the POLIN Museum out to a surviving fragment of the ghetto wall and the memorial mound at Mila 18. You see the museum building itself, then tangible traces of the ghetto that survive among the modern housing built over the site. It is a careful, factual look at a history that is easy to miss walking through the area today.
We begin at the museum with a short sound check, then move to the wall fragment and finally the memorial mound, pausing at each to explain what stood there before the war. I keep the tone factual throughout and take questions as we go. A written list of sources follows afterwards.
It suits anyone with a serious interest in Jewish history in Poland rather than a general sightseeing session. It also pairs well with the shorter history call for further context.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
