I have worked with the POLIN Museum's education team for several years, and most of my sessions centre on the museum and the surrounding streets that once made up the Warsaw Ghetto. I try to explain what stood on a street before the war rather than only what stands there now, since so much of that history survives only in records and memory. I keep the tone factual and careful throughout rather than dramatic. Video works well for this material, since I can point the camera at a specific plaque or marker and give it the time the explanation actually needs.
