Anna Kowalska

I grew up two streets from Piotrkowska and have spent years learning to read this street rather than just walk it, the monograms cut into doorways, the old shop signs still visible under newer paint, the scale of the tenements built when Lodz was one of Europe's fastest growing industrial cities. On camera I like to hold on a single facade long enough for you to see the plasterwork, then explain who built it and why. I also cover the Poznanski textile empire in detail, since my own family worked the looms here for two generations. Video suits this city because the story is written on the buildings themselves.
