Ayşe Güneş

I grew up in Gümbet when it was still mostly olive groves, before the hotels arrived, and I trained as a guide after years working in a dive shop near the bay. I know the underwater museum inside Bodrum Castle particularly well, since I spent a season working alongside the archaeologists who catalogued some of its shipwreck finds. On a call I try to hold the camera steady on a single object for longer than feels natural, because that is usually when the best questions come in. I like ending a session outside the castle walls, looking back at how much the town has grown.
