I have swum in the lake every summer since I was a child, so I know exactly which stretch of shoreline holds its colour best on camera through the day. My calls usually start at the Palais de l'Isle, since its reflection in the canal rarely disappoints, then move toward the lake itself. I speak some Italian, which comes in handy with visitors from just across the border. On a live session I try to let the water do the work rather than talking over it, since Annecy's colour is really the whole point.
