I have guided at Giotto's Campanile for years, and I usually film it from across the square rather than up close, since the full height only really makes sense from a distance. I explain how Giotto designed it but died before construction got far, and how later architects finished it in a different style from his original plan. I keep the camera steady and let viewers take in the coloured marble panels level by level. I answer questions on the design changes in some detail, since that history is often skipped over.
