Ferhat Kurt

I grew up in Çavuşin, one of the older cliffside villages, and most of what I know about Cappadocia's caves I learned from my own family's house before it was left for a newer one nearby. On camera I explain how a cliffside village like this one is built and later abandoned as the rock weakens over time. I also show how testi kebab is cooked and broken open at the table, a dish that says a lot about how this region cooks with what the land gives it. I keep my explanations plain and grounded in what I have seen myself.
