I've lived in St Andrews since university and never quite left. On camera I spend most of my time on the streets around the cathedral ruins, since the town's whole shape still follows the mediaeval pilgrim route even now. I studied history here myself, so I know the difference between what's documented about the cathedral and what's just a good story people repeat. Guiding on video suits a small town like this well, since I can hold the camera on one worn stone step for as long as it takes to explain properly, rather than rushing a group along past it.
