Hörður Jónsson

I have worked on fishing boats out of Akureyri harbour for most of my life, so the fjord and the working waterfront are where I feel most useful on camera. I like explaining how the town grew around fishing rather than tourism, and pointing out details on the boats and the harbour that a quick look would miss. Six years of guiding on video has taught me to keep the phone steady against the wind and to slow down when something worth seeing comes past. I answer questions properly as they come rather than saving them, since most people ask exactly what I would want explained myself.
