Montmartre still feels like a village stitched onto the rest of Paris, and I have lived two streets from the basilica my entire life. I worked as an illustrator before guiding, which is where my eye for the district's artist history comes from. On camera I like slowing down on a single steep street rather than rushing between the square and the basilica. I answer questions about the district's painters, Utrillo especially, in real detail. French, English and Spanish all work for my calls, and I keep a warm, unhurried pace throughout.
