I have walked the Promenade des Anglais at sunrise most mornings for years, so I know exactly which bench gives the best angle before the crowds arrive. I also like showing Castle Hill later in the day, for the way the light changes over the bay from up there, and the gardens of Promenade du Paillon, built where a river used to run. On camera I try to hold on one detail rather than sweeping across a whole view, since a screen rewards stillness more than motion. I have guided in Nice for over fifteen years and switched to video without much difficulty.
