Verena Pichler

Griaß di from Innsbruck. I grew up in the Stubai valley, where my parents keep cows and rent rooms to hikers, and I moved to the city to study geography at the university. I have worked as a ski instructor in winter and a hiking guide in summer for seven years, and I love that in Innsbruck you can have a coffee in the old town and be on a mountain in twenty minutes. My Italian comes from my grandmother, who was from Trentino, and from many summers working in the Dolomites. My tours mix the city and the mountains: the Nordkette, the old town with its Golden Roof, and a Tyrolean evening with food my mother would approve of. I will plan the day around it. My sessions now run live on video from Innsbruck: I carry the phone, you watch from wherever you are and ask anything.
