I trained as a garden historian, and Charlottenburg Palace is still the site I most enjoy explaining, from the Baroque palace itself to the formal gardens laid out behind it. On camera I move slowly through the grounds, pointing out how the garden's layout changed over different reigns from strict formal beds to a more naturalistic English-style park. I keep a formal, detailed pace on the main palace session and a calmer, more relaxed one for the gardens alone in spring.
